What The Dosa Studios Brings
Aditya Pittie, managing director at The EPIC Company, said that integrating their generative workflows into the group's content ecosystem accelerates its vision for EPIC AI Lab, which is positioned as a co-creation space combining human creativity with intelligent tools.
The word doing the work in that sentence is workflows. A media company can license the same models as anyone else, and the models are not the scarce part. What is scarce is a team that has already worked out how to get usable output through an actual production schedule, which is what a studio built natively on these tools has and a traditional content operation does not.
Why The Deal Is Shaped As An Acquihire
The structure is the tell. An acquihire buys people rather than a product, and it is the shape a deal takes when the value sits in a small number of heads and cannot be separated from them.
Both founders landing in operating roles rather than advisory ones reinforces that reading. Nautiyal takes business development and Khan takes GenAI operations, which is a split between selling the capability and running it. For a group looking to add speed and scale across storytelling formats, that is a faster route than building the same competence internally and waiting a year to find out whether it worked.
