Scapia Launches Travel Unreasonably Campaign With Seven Films

Scapia has launched Travel Unreasonably, a brand campaign of seven digital-first films, conceptualised with Talented and produced by First December Films.
- Brand: Scapia, a travel fintech platform
- Films: seven digital-first films, plus a set of shorter cuts
- Agency: Talented
- Production: First December Films
What Travel Unreasonably Argues
That the reason is the problem. The campaign's position is that people postpone trips until everything lines up, and that the impulse to go is spontaneous even when the trip itself needs planning.
The films take that impulse at its least dignified. A couple arrive at a party dressed as animals after misreading the invitation. An employee ends a work call by telling the boss she loves them. A man meeting his girlfriend's family confidently greets the neighbour as her mother. Each humiliation becomes a reason to leave the country.
The Device That Holds It Together
An orange-gloved hand, appearing across the films as the brand itself. It arrives as a friend rather than a product, offering reassurance and a way out, which keeps Scapia present in films whose subject is social embarrassment rather than travel.
Prashant Gopalakrishnan, Founding Partner at Talented, said travel brands sell destinations and that the campaign instead celebrates the impulse to leave.
What The Campaign Is Really Selling
Frequency. Karthik Rajeshwaran of Scapia framed the platform as built to help people keep moving towards a next trip rather than a single annual one, with everyday spends turning into travel rewards.
That is a harder sell than a destination, and it explains the format. Seven films and a set of shorter cuts is a volume strategy built for feeds, aimed at a younger audience who will meet the brand through a joke before they meet it through a card.
The shorter cuts carry the same shape: an overconfident attempt at the gym, a disastrous pottery date, an embarrassing singing incident at work. The campaign rolls out across digital and social platforms, led by the main films and supported by platform-first creatives.
