Redhill India Picks Up Queen's University Belfast

Queen’s University Belfast has appointed Redhill India as its strategic communications partner, to build its presence and stakeholder engagement across the country.
- Scope: corporate communications, media relations, executive profiling, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and reputation building
- Queen’s is the first Russell Group university to establish a campus in India, at GIFT City, Gujarat
- The campus offers postgraduate programmes in AI, FinTech, Cybersecurity and Business Analytics
- University lead: Prof. M. Satish Kumar, Dean of the GIFT City campus
- Agency lead: Ankita Juneja, country head, India, Redhill
What Redhill India Is Actually Selling
Ankita Juneja said Indian higher education is being transformed by demand for globally recognised learning and stronger international collaboration, and that the work is about shaping conversations that strengthen engagement with students, academia, industry and policymakers.
Those four audiences want four different things, which is what separates this from a media-relations brief. A parent wants reassurance about outcomes, a policymaker wants alignment with national priorities, an employer wants graduates who can do the job, and a faculty peer wants research standing. A single announcement rarely satisfies more than two.
Why The First-Mover Line Carries Weight
Queen’s is the first Russell Group university with an India campus, and the appointment follows that launch.
Being first is a communications asset with a short shelf life. It is the strongest thing a foreign university can say in this market right now, and it stops being sayable the moment a peer institution opens its own campus, which makes the next eighteen months the window this mandate exists to use.
The Policy Backdrop
Prof. Satish Kumar said India is strategically important to the university’s long-term international vision, and that its GIFT City presence reflects a commitment to academic partnerships, talent and innovation.
The National Education Policy 2020 opened the door to this category of entrant, and GIFT City is where the regulatory path is smoothest. That makes the reputational stakes higher than usual: the early arrivals set the terms on which Indian families judge every foreign campus that follows.
