Rahul Padghan Joins InCred As AVP, Corporate Communications

Rahul Padghan has joined InCred Financial Services as AVP, corporate communications, taking on the corporate communications mandate at the lender.
- Joins from: JM Financial Limited, where he was AVP, corporate communications
- Tenure there: close to two years
- Before that: blinkX, as AVP, corporate communications
- Earlier: over three years at HDFC Securities
- Announced on LinkedIn
Four Financial Firms, One Discipline
HDFC Securities, blinkX, JM Financial and now InCred. Padghan has not stepped outside financial services, and within it he has covered broking, a digital investment platform, an investment bank and a lender.
That is narrower than most communications careers and more useful than it sounds. Regulated finance has its own grammar, because every claim has a compliance officer attached to it and every quarter comes with numbers that cannot be softened. Someone who has done four versions of the same job knows what will survive the review.
What Rahul Padghan’s Mandate Involves At A Lender
His remit spans corporate communications, communications strategy and writing, built across the earlier stints.
The job at a non-bank lender is a specific one. Credit businesses are covered on their asset quality and their funding, and both are technical subjects that turn into consumer-facing stories the moment they go wrong. The communications function ends up mediating between a treasury team and a headline writer, permanently.
Another Move Announced By The Person, Not The Firm
The appointment surfaced through Padghan’s own LinkedIn post. Corporate communications hires at this level increasingly become public that way, before any company announcement.
There is a small irony in a communications professional’s own move being announced by the individual rather than the organisation, and it is now the norm rather than the exception across the sector.
InCred itself has grown quickly on the lending side, including through its 2022 merger with KKR India Financial Services, and that is the sort of expansion that puts a communications function under regular scrutiny rather than occasional. Padghan arrives with the mandate to run it.
