Apple Appoints Prasidha Menon As Head Of Product Communications, India

Prasidha Menon has joined Apple as Head of Product Communications, India, taking up the Mumbai role in July 2026 after more than eighteen years in communications and brand marketing.
- New role: Head of Product Communications, India at Apple, based in Mumbai
- Started: July 2026
- Previous role: Head of Communications for India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan at Airbnb
- Earlier: Optum, UnitedHealth Group, OYO, Uber and Edelman India
A Specialist Discipline, Not A General One
Product communications is a narrower craft than corporate communications, and Menon has done both. At Airbnb she held a brand and product communications role for Asia Pacific before taking the wider regional brief across India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
At Uber she followed a similar arc in reverse, serving as Product Communications Lead for India before becoming Head of Communications for India and South Asia. The distinction matters at a company whose news flow is largely product news: the job is explaining what a thing does and why it was built that way, to an audience that will test the claim.
Agency, Platform And Enterprise
Menon spent roughly five years at Edelman India as Account Director, and earlier worked at Genesis Burson-Marsteller on the Microsoft India corporate communications team. Between the platform roles she has also worked at Optum and UnitedHealth Group and at OYO, adding enterprise and hospitality to a record otherwise built around technology.
She announced the move on her own LinkedIn profile.
The India Context
The appointment lands as India has become one of the more closely watched markets for Apple, with retail expansion and local manufacturing both drawing steady coverage. Product communications in that setting is less about announcement volume than about a market where every launch is read for what it signals about the company's intentions locally.
