The One Club Makes CapCut Its Premier Global AI Partner

The One Club for Creativity has named CapCut its premier global AI partner, in an agreement that puts the ByteDance-owned editing app across four of the organisation's major awards shows.
- Partner: CapCut, part of ByteDance, an AI-powered photo and video editing app
- A new custom category in the ADC Annual Awards, to be announced in October
- Presenting partner of ADC Young Guns 24, the competition for creatives aged 30 or younger, now open for entry
- A CapCut brief competition within the Young Ones Student Awards
- Presenting partner of The One Show 2027 Creative Use of AI discipline
What The One Club Is Actually Selling Here
Awards partnerships usually buy logo placement and a trophy handshake. This one buys category design. A custom category in the ADC Annual Awards and presenting rights over a Creative Use of AI discipline means the partner is inside the definition of what gets judged, not just alongside it.
That is more valuable than sponsorship and more contested. Awards bodies exist to set standards for the work, and a tools vendor with a hand in the categories is a position that will be examined. The counter-argument is that the AI discipline needs an industry partner who actually builds the tools, and few do at CapCut's scale.
The Student And Young Guns Pieces
The Young Ones Student Awards brief and Young Guns 24 are the parts aimed at people early in their careers, where tool familiarity becomes habit. A student who wins a Pencil, ADC Cube, TDC Award or Portfolio Award on a CapCut brief carries that workflow into an agency.
The partnership extends an existing One Club relationship with ByteDance, with in-person and virtual creative events and a creator content series still to be announced. More industry news.
