Octro Play Rummy has unveiled its latest brand campaign titled ‘Asli Game Asli Skills’, featuring actor Ali Fazal. Conceptualised and executed by creative agency The Minimalist, the campaign champions the power of skill over style—reflecting the platform’s unique gameplay format and strategic depth.


A Campaign That Puts Strategy First

Unlike conventional rummy apps, Octro Play Rummy stands out as the only Indian platform offering both 13-card and 21-card rummy formats, with a twist: players must form a four-card sequence to win instead of the usual three. This change significantly increases the level of challenge, requiring sharper thinking, deeper strategy, and genuine skill.

This product innovation forms the core of the campaign’s message—“Asli Game Asli Skills.”


Ali Fazal Brings It to Life—With Charm and Wit

The campaign features three short films in a humorous, audition-style setup. Ali Fazal tries his hand at acting, dancing, and cricket, only to be told that flair alone isn’t enough. It’s only when he sits down to play rummy that his skills truly shine—on the Octro Play Rummy app.

In a saturated online gaming space, Octro Play Rummy is leveraging storytelling to build trust and differentiate itself from “luck-based” platforms. By introducing game mechanics that reward skill, the campaign positions Octro as a platform for serious, strategic players, while still keeping things entertaining.
