Hein Hellemons Brings Deep Enterprise Tech Pedigree
Hellemons brings more than 25 years of experience leading global go-to-market organisations at enterprise technology companies. He most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Darktrace, a global AI-powered cybersecurity company, where he led revenue operations on a worldwide scale. Prior to his tenure at Darktrace, Hellemons held senior leadership positions at three of the technology industry's most prominent names: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and VMware. This trajectory across cloud infrastructure, enterprise software and cybersecurity gives him a broad view of go-to-market operations across multiple technology categories, an experience base New Relic is expected to draw on as it scales its own commercial organisation.
Reporting Structure and Strategic Mandate
Hellemons will report directly to New Relic CEO Ashan Willy, placing the Chief Revenue Officer role within the company's core executive leadership structure. His mandate spans the full breadth of New Relic's commercial engine, encompassing global sales teams, commercial segment strategy and the partner-channel ecosystem that supports the company's route to market. By consolidating these functions under a single revenue leader with cross-industry experience, New Relic is signalling an intent to align its sales, partner and commercial strategies more tightly as it pursues worldwide revenue growth. The appointment reflects a broader pattern among enterprise technology firms of recruiting revenue leaders with backgrounds spanning cloud, software and security, given the increasingly overlapping nature of these markets. With Hellemons now in place, attention will turn to how New Relic's go-to-market strategy evolves under his leadership across its global sales and partner network in the periods ahead.
