MMTC-PAMP has appointed actor Sidharth Malhotra as its brand ambassador, fronting a new integrated campaign called ‘Purest And More’ aimed at a younger and more digitally minded buyer.

  • Brand: MMTC-PAMP, the precious metals company
  • Ambassador: Sidharth Malhotra
  • Campaign: ‘Purest And More’
  • Covers physical gold and silver, digital investments, gold recycling, online purchase and assured buyback
  • Company lead: Samit Guha, managing director and chief executive

What The MMTC-PAMP Film Actually Shows

The film follows Malhotra through a series of family moments built around a wedding, using them to introduce the company’s wider range rather than a single product.

Setting it at a wedding is the safe half of the idea. The interesting half is what he introduces once he is there: not a bar or a coin, but digital holdings, recycling and buyback. A wedding is where Indian gold buying already happens, so the film borrows an occasion the audience understands and uses it to show them options they do not yet associate with it.

Selling The Second Half Of The Word Purest

Purity has been the industry’s claim for as long as it has advertised. The campaign name concedes that and then adds to it.

That concession is the strategy. Purity is now table stakes in hallmarked gold, so a brand that leads on it alone is competing on a promise every rival also makes. ‘And More’ is where the differentiation sits: buyback, recycling and a digital route in, none of which the neighbourhood jeweller offers as a system.

Who The Campaign Is Trying To Reach

Samit Guha described Malhotra’s authenticity, credibility and modern outlook as aligned with the brand, and said his appeal across generations would help reach both experienced investors and first-time buyers.

Those two audiences want opposite things. The experienced investor wants assay and settlement; the first-time buyer wants an app and a small ticket. Casting for range rather than for youth alone is a recognition that the company cannot afford to convert one at the cost of the other.
