What Kruti Khandelwal Is Being Asked To Do
Build recognition outside India for a business whose profitability currently comes from inside it. That is a specific and awkward brief, because the brand that works at home is rarely the one that travels, and the company cannot stop selling domestically while it finds out.
Why The Mixed Background Is The Point
Conversational AI at Yellow.ai and Haptik is the category adjacency. Real estate at Lodha and Sunteck is where the consumer marketing came from, and it is unusual for a B2B software marketer to have run campaigns where the buyer is an individual making the largest purchase of their life.
In enterprise software that matters more than it used to, because the person searching for a fix now behaves like a consumer long before procurement is involved.
What Was Said
Chief executive Sheshgiri Kamath said Khandelwal brings strategic marketing experience, brand-building expertise and a founder's understanding of scaling businesses. The appointment follows recent senior additions including vice presidents for customer experience and sales.
