Kenstar Adopts Unicommerce Order And Warehouse Systems For Its E-Commerce Business

The Kenstar Unicommerce partnership puts the home appliance brand's order and warehouse management on the Uniware platform, across its sales channels.
- Brand: Kenstar, home appliances
- Platform: Uniware, with order management and warehouse management systems
- Footprint: 30,000-plus retail touchpoints and dealers, 18-plus warehouses
- Channels: E-commerce, quick commerce, own website, modern and regional trade
What The Kenstar Unicommerce Deal Changes
Where the single view of stock lives. The company has deployed an order management system and a warehouse management system, which together let orders from multiple sales channels be managed on one platform with real-time inventory visibility.
The company's stated reasons are operational rather than promotional: faster order processing, better stock utilisation and improved warehouse efficiency, by bringing order, inventory and warehouse operations together.
Why A Home Appliance Brand Needs This
Because of how many doors it sells through. Kenstar's footprint runs across e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, its own website, more than 30,000 retail touchpoints and dealers, and modern trade and regional retail, supported by over 18 warehouses and fulfilment centres.
Selling the same air cooler through a quick-commerce app promising ten minutes and a dealer promising next week is a stock allocation problem before it is a marketing one. Without one inventory view, a channel either oversells or holds back, and both are expensive.
The Category Behind The Decision
Kenstar has been building out air coolers, water heaters, small home appliances and washing machines, with what it describes as a focus on energy-efficient products for Indian households and a growing presence in smaller towns and cities alongside the metros.
The company framed the investment as building a technology foundation that can scale with the business as the online presence expands, and Unicommerce pointed to the brand's direct-to-consumer growth as the reason operational capability has to keep pace with commercial expansion.
