Jio-bp And Kia India Integrate Public EV Charging Networks

Jio-bp and Kia India are integrating their EV charging networks, giving Kia EV owners access to more than 23,500 charging points through a single app.
- Jio-bp brings: 7,000 plus charging points, 1,100 plus sites, 300 plus cities
- Kia brings: 125 operational dealership DC fast chargers, and more to come
- Platforms: K-Charge on the MyKia app, and Jio-bp pulse charge pro
- Charger range: 60 kW to 480 kW DC fast charging
What The Jio-bp Network Adds
Geography, mostly. The company states more than 7,000 charging points across over 1,100 active sites in more than 300 cities, with many positioned along national highways, which is where long-distance confidence is won or lost.
The specification matters as much as the count: DC fast chargers from 60 kW to 480 kW let premium Kia EVs charge closer to their maximum hardware capability, and Jio-bp states network uptime of 96 per cent.
Why The Deal Runs Both Ways
Because neither network alone answers the driver's question. Kia's 125 dealership fast chargers, and those still to be commissioned, will be added progressively to the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app, extending both footprints at once.
Akshay Wadhwa, Chief Executive Officer at Jio-bp, said range anxiety is often not about charger availability but about whether the next charger will be working, which is the argument for uptime over raw count.
What It Means For EV Marketing
The experience is being sold as a single platform rather than a network. Both apps cover discovery, navigation, session management and payment in one place, which is the practical definition of what a manufacturer can now promise a buyer.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice President for sales and marketing at Kia India, framed it as giving customers greater access through a single platform, while Jio-bp chairman Sarthak Behuria said India's shift to electric mobility depends on building trust at scale.
