What ixigo for work Changes About Booking
The design decision worth noting is the absence of onboarding. Corporate travel tools normally begin with an administrator: someone creates a company account, uploads a policy, adds employees and approves a workflow, and only then can anyone book a flight. That model assumes a travel desk exists.
A large share of Indian business travel is not booked that way. It is booked by the person travelling, on their own phone, and expensed afterwards. Building the feature as a toggle inside the consumer app rather than as a separate product meets that behaviour where it already is, which is the more honest read of the market.
The GST Line Is The Practical Bit
Saving the company GSTIN against a booking sounds like a small convenience and is not. Claiming input credit on a business air ticket requires the invoice to carry the right registration details, and getting that wrong after the fact means either losing the claim or chasing a correction through a support channel.
Putting the field in the booking flow turns a reimbursement problem into a form field. For a frequent traveller filing their own expenses, that is likely to matter more day to day than the fare difference does.

Business travellers can add ixigo's Assured product, which offers a full instant refund on cancellation with no questions asked, along with travel insurance, airport cabs and flight delay protection.
Sumit Vijay, senior vice president for flights at ixigo, said business travel comes with enough moving parts, from booking the right fare to managing changes and getting the paperwork right, and that the aim was to make the process as simple as booking any other flight while giving travellers the flexibility work travel needs.
