ICICI Life Insurance Drops Prudential And Picks A Tagline

What Dropping Prudential Actually Signals
That the endorsement is no longer load-bearing. A foreign partner's name on an Indian insurance brand was once the trust mark the category needed, because the category itself was not trusted. Removing it says the parent brand now carries that weight alone.
It is also a simplification, and in a category where every competitor is a two-part name with a foreign half, being the short one is a position in itself.
Why ICICI Life Insurance Is Changing The Argument, Not Just The Logo
Because the old argument has a ceiling. Protection advertising works by making someone picture the worst day of their life, which is effective once and exhausting thereafter, and it is why most people buy a policy and never think about the brand again.
Har Kal Aasaan moves the promise to the ordinary days, which is a harder sell and a longer relationship. Whether it holds depends entirely on whether the product paperwork gets simpler too, because a transparency claim is checkable in a way a protection claim is not.
