Dibyendu Sen has joined Flipkart as associate director of brand partnerships and monetisation for Flipkart Minutes, taking up the role in September 2026 in Bengaluru.

  • Role: associate director, brand partnerships and monetisation, Flipkart Minutes
  • Based: Bengaluru, from September 2026
  • Joins from: Criteo
  • Experience: more than 14 years across linear media, fintech, e-commerce, quick commerce, retail media and advertising technology
  • Education: an MBA from IIM Kozhikode

What Dibyendu Sen Is Being Asked To Build

Quick commerce has an advertising business whether it plans one or not. A ten-minute grocery app knows what a household buys, how often and at what hour, and that is among the most commercially useful datasets in retail.

Turning that into a media product is a different discipline from running the app, and it is the discipline this appointment is buying: go-to-market, enterprise sales, yield and commercial planning, applied to inventory that did not exist as inventory until recently.

The Career Is Less Scattered Than It Looks

Linear media, fintech, e-commerce, quick commerce, retail media and adtech is a wide list. What connects it is that each stop involved selling access to an audience, and the last few involved doing so with first-party data attached.

Sen is described as having built businesses from zero to one as well as scaling established revenue lines, using commerce data, audience intelligence and performance signals. A new retail media operation needs both, usually in that order.

Why Criteo Is The Relevant Previous Stop

Arriving from an adtech company rather than from a retailer matters here. Retail media networks tend to be built by people who understand inventory and struggle with measurement, or the reverse. Someone coming from the demand side arrives already knowing what a buyer will ask for before they commit a budget.

That is the gap most new retail media businesses discover in their second year. More appointments.
