Skechers becomes clothing sponsor to Delhi's men's and women's cricket squads for 2026-27, with UFlex added as an official partner

The DDCA has named Skechers as its clothing sponsor for the 2026-27 domestic season, and added UFlex to the season's sponsorship portfolio as an official partner.

  • Association: Delhi and District Cricket Association
  • Clothing sponsor: Skechers, for the 2026-27 domestic season
  • Coverage: all Delhi men's and women's teams, across age groups
  • Official partner: UFlex, with logo rights on team kits
  • Competition: BCCI domestic tournaments

What The DDCA Deals Change

Apparel is an unglamorous line in a state association's accounts and a stubborn one. The DDCA states it traditionally spent approximately Rs 50 lakh a season on match apparel and training kits for its men's and women's teams, and that the two partnerships together let it fully offset that clothing expenditure while generating additional sponsorship revenue.

That is the whole commercial argument, and it is a cleaner one than most sponsorship announcements manage. A cost line becomes a revenue line, and the squads get a kit supplier rather than a procurement exercise.

Why A Footwear Brand Takes Apparel Rights

Skechers is better known in India for shoes than for cricket whites, which makes a domestic cricket kit deal a deliberate category move rather than an extension of an existing presence. The association's own framing, from a Skechers spokesperson, is about integrating the brand directly into one of the country's most prominent domestic cricket ecosystems.

Domestic cricket is cheap compared with the leagues and it reaches a genuinely engaged, locally rooted audience. For a brand building apparel credentials from a footwear base, that is a reasonable place to start.

The Association's Side Of It

Rohan Jaitley, President of the Delhi and District Cricket Association, described the partnerships as a step towards a sustainable cricketing ecosystem and tied them to upgrading operational frameworks so that the men's and women's teams are backed by institutional support.

Ashok Chaturvedi, Chairman and Managing Director of the UFlex Group, framed the association's side as a privilege. The packaging group's logo on a state kit is a straightforward visibility buy, and one that travels wherever Delhi plays through the season.
