Trackon Makes Chandra Prakash Chief Executive For A Southern Push

Trackon has elevated Chandra Prakash to chief executive officer, effective 1 October 2026, from the chief business officer seat.
- Company: Trackon Couriers Pvt. Ltd., part of the XpressBees Group
- Previously: chief business officer at Trackon
- Brief: network scale with emphasis on South India, technology and AI adoption, channel partnerships, service reliability
- Experience: over two decades in sales and distribution networks
What Chandra Prakash Is Being Asked To Do
Grow a partner network rather than a fleet. The stated priority is scaling with discipline, with South India named as the key focus market because its business and e-commerce activity makes it an important driver of expansion.
That is a specific instruction. Express logistics in India is won region by region, through franchise and channel partners who already know the pin codes, and a national average hides which regions are actually working.
Where Technology Comes In
Prakash has put technology and AI at the centre of the operating plan: smarter routing and network planning, predictive operations and real-time customer visibility, plus better tools for channel partners to improve efficiency and service delivery.
The partner-tools half is the less obvious one and probably the more important. In a franchise network the operator does not control the last mile directly, so the only lever on reliability is what the partner is equipped to do.
A Distribution Career, Not A Logistics One
Before Trackon came BlackBuck, as Senior Vice President and National Sales Head, where Trackon states the role ran nationwide sales strategy and a team of over 6,000 people. Before that, senior roles at OYO, Airtel, Tata Teleservices, Reliance Communications, Hindustan Unilever and Eveready Industries.
Telecom and fast-moving consumer goods are where Indian distribution is learned at scale, and a courier network is the same problem with parcels in it.
