BULLET Microdrama has unveiled the trailer for The Dwarka Project, an original Indian sci-fi anime feature created entirely on its own AI filmmaking platform.

  • BULLET Microdrama is backed by ZEE Entertainment Enterprises
  • The film runs 100 minutes and is the first content project made entirely on Trinetra AI, BULLET’s India-developed platform
  • Set in 2166, it follows Parth, a young man from the Marshland searching for his abducted father
  • Parth discovers powers linked to the underwater city of Dwarka and is drawn into a conflict over technology and social division
  • Trailer screened exclusively at Anime India, hosted by RJ Dheeraj

Why The Dwarka Project Is A Test, Not A Demo

Azim Lalani, co-founder and chief business officer at BULLET Microdrama, called the film an experiment in what becomes possible when filmmaking is approached without some conventional production constraints, and said building the entire film on Trinetra AI makes it significant not as a technology demonstration but as a test of a new production model.

That distinction is the whole point, and he is right to draw it. AI video has produced no shortage of arresting thirty-second pieces. A hundred-minute feature demands that a character look the same in the ninetieth minute as the ninth, which is a different engineering problem and the one that has kept the technology out of long-form work.

Anime As The Deliberate Choice

The film brings an original Indian science-fiction narrative into the anime format, exploring identity, belonging, power and social division.

Anime is a shrewd format for a first attempt. Its visual conventions already accept stylisation, held frames and limited animation as part of the language rather than as shortcuts, which gives an AI pipeline far more room than live action would before the seams start to show.

What It Signals For Indian Content

Trinetra AI is described as India-developed and designed to let creators take original stories through an AI-led filmmaking process.

An Indian studio building its own pipeline rather than renting someone else’s matters more than the film. Indian production economics have always been the constraint on original science fiction here, and owning the tooling is the only version of this where the savings stay in the country.
