Anarock has launched ARC, an integrated marketing agency, with Nikhil Kumar appointed as its head.

  • Parent: Anarock, the property consultancy
  • Head of ARC: Nikhil Kumar, close to two decades in advertising, media and marketing
  • Previously: MullenLowe Lintas Group, Publicis Groupe, Dentsu Creative
  • Three pillars: creative development, performance media, experiential activation
  • Sectors named: real estate, BFSI, auto, retail, consumer durables, FMCG

What ARC Is Selling That An Agency Cannot

Underneath the three pillars sits what Anarock calls a proprietary AI predictive engine, which scores, prioritises and nurtures leads and reactivates dormant ones.

That is the actual proposition. Creative and media are available from a hundred agencies; a scoring model trained on years of real property enquiries is not, because most agencies never see what happened after the click. Anarock does, because it sells the flat.

Whether Property Data Transfers

Nikhil Kumar says the same intelligence layer that drove outcomes in real estate marketing has been re-engineered for other categories.

That claim deserves scrutiny rather than acceptance. A property enquiry is high value, slow and heavily qualified by budget and location, which is why scoring works so well on it. An FMCG lead has almost none of those properties. The model may well generalise, but the evidence for it will come from the BFSI and auto work rather than from the real estate record.

Outcomes Over Output Is A Pricing Argument

The agency is positioned on outcomes rather than output, which sounds like a philosophy and is really a commercial one.

Agencies are paid for what they produce because that is what they can control. An agency paid on outcomes is accepting exposure to the client’s sales process, and only one that genuinely believes its own conversion model will take that trade. Whether ARC prices that way in practice is the thing to watch.
