The studio plans films in Hindi, Gujarati and Malayalam alongside other regional Indian languages and English-language international projects.
Gujarati and Malayalam is an unusual pairing to name in the same sentence. Malayalam cinema currently has the strongest writing-to-budget ratio in the country and travels far beyond Kerala. Gujarati is a smaller, more commercially contained industry. Naming both signals a slate built on scripts rather than on market size, which is either discipline or expensive optimism, and it will take a few releases to tell which.

Birla’s business interests include Birla AI Labs, Birla Cosmetics and microfinance lender Svatantra Microfin, where she is founder, chairperson and director, along with board seats at Grasim Industries, Hindalco Industries, Birla Estates, Aditya Birla Global Trading and Aditya Birla Management Corporation.
The stated approach is to back emerging creative talent and bridge cross-cultural markets. For an industry where most new studios are founded by people already inside it, capital arriving from outside with a stated tolerance for long-term artistic value is a different kind of entrant, and the terms it offers writers will matter more than the announcement.
