Amy Ginsberg Named Chief Investment Officer At Digitas North America

Amy Ginsberg has been appointed Chief Investment Officer at Digitas North America, joining from Starcom where she was President of Investment. She announced the move on LinkedIn.
- New role: Chief Investment Officer, Digitas North America
- Previous role: President, Investment, Starcom
- Remit: media investment leadership and driving value for the agency's clients
A Move Inside Publicis, Not Out Of It
Both Starcom and Digitas sit inside Publicis Groupe, so this is a lateral move across the holding company rather than a departure. Those transfers are usually about which agency needs the capability more than about the individual's next rung.
Starcom is a media agency where investment is the core discipline and the bench is deep. Digitas came up as a digital and CRM shop, and its investment function has never been the thing it was famous for. Putting a Starcom investment president in that chair is the group moving expertise to where it is thinner.
Why Amy Ginsberg's Title Matters Now
Chief Investment Officer sounds like a finance role and increasingly behaves like one. The job used to be about negotiating rate and holding volume commitments with a handful of large sellers. It now spans retail media networks, streaming platforms each with their own measurement, principal-based buying arrangements and automated marketplaces where price moves in real time.
Digitas's own framing points at exactly that, describing an increasingly complex and fragmented media landscape. Fragmentation is the polite word for a market where the buyer needs more expertise than the seller assumes.
What The Announcement Does Not Say
Worth being straight about the limits here. The release confirms the appointment, the remit in general terms and where she came from. It does not name a predecessor, a reporting line or a start date, and Ginsberg's own post was a short personal note rather than a strategy statement.
So the shape of the job is clear and the specifics of the mandate are not yet public.
