Adarsh, enterprise business head at Jio Haptik

Jio Haptik has appointed Adarsh as enterprise business head, effective August 2026, to lead its enterprise business as the conversational and agentic AI company pushes into global markets.

  • Remit covers sales, customer success, international expansion and partnerships
  • Markets: India, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America
  • Jio Haptik works with more than 500 enterprises globally, with over 100 customers on its voice AI
  • Nearly two decades across India, APAC, the Middle East and the US
  • Joins from Trianz; earlier ventures include FluidSpace and Novum

What Adarsh Says The Jio Haptik Job Is

Adarsh said the next phase of enterprise AI will not be about deploying more bots but about delivering measurable business outcomes through intelligent agents, and that his focus is helping enterprises move from experimentation to scale.

That framing is a sales position as much as a product one. The first wave of enterprise AI was bought on curiosity and a modest budget line. The second has to survive a procurement review, which means the pitch changes from what the technology can do to what it returned last quarter.

Widening The Deal, Not Just The Logo Count

A key part of the brief is shifting existing customers from individual AI projects towards broader, multi-use-case partnerships, extending AI across more customer journeys, channels and business functions to increase deal sizes.

This is the harder half of enterprise software growth and the less glamorous one. Signing a new logo is a announcement; getting an existing customer to widen a deployment is a renewal negotiation with someone who already knows exactly what the product does and does not do.

Measured On Outcomes

Chief executive Ahshad Jussawala said Haptik has evolved from conversational AI into a broader enterprise proposition spanning voice, automation and agentic experiences, and that the appointment brings dedicated leadership to that stage of scale.

The company says it will measure through automation, conversion, customer experience, response times, productivity and cost efficiency, with sector-specific propositions planned in BFSI, retail, telecom, healthcare, consumer and travel. Naming the metrics in advance is a commitment that gets tested at every renewal, which is presumably the point.
