Aakriti Kaul has joined Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios as social media manager, moving from a phone brand to a streaming slate.

What Aakriti Kaul Did At OnePlus

Manager of digital marketing from April 2025 to September 2026, building brand and product narratives across OnePlus categories through writing, scripting and storytelling aimed at carrying each launch. Before that, content specialist from December 2023.

A phone launch is a useful training ground for a release calendar. Both are fixed-date events where the entire effort lands in a narrow window, the audience already knows the category, and the job is to make this one feel different from the last one.

The BYJU'S Years Show The Scale

From October 2021, social media specialist and strategy point of contact for the Indian and international verticals, handling the strategising and operationalising of every social page. From September 2022 to November 2023, lead for brand and creative strategy, running brand content across digital platforms and building campaigns around high-visibility partnerships.

Why The Move Reads Well

Social media for a streaming service is storytelling at speed against a calendar nobody can move, and it is judged on whether a title finds an audience in its first weekend. The stated specialisms, SEM, SEO, content marketing and trend monitoring, are the ones that decide whether a premiere trends or passes quietly.

Where The Base Was Built

Before the BYJU'S years came the earlier steps, from July 2020 to September 2021, the period that turns a marketer into someone who can be handed a vertical. By Kaul's own description the work has been about building product concepts from consumer insights and running them end to end, which is a different skill from writing posts and the reason the title reads manager rather than executive.
