InsuranceDekho And RenewBuy Merge Into One Distribution Platform

InsuranceDekho and the RenewBuy group have consolidated their businesses into a single pan-India insurance distribution platform. The combined entity will run under the InsuranceDekho brand, with Ankit Agrawal leading it.
- Scale claim: India's largest AI-enabled insurance distribution platform by POSP-driven premium generated for FY2026
- Policies: more than two crore issued since inception, as of 31 March 2026
- Premium book: above ₹66,000 million
- Network: over six lakh digital partners, reaching 98.57 per cent of India's pin codes
- Leadership: Ankit Agrawal leads the combined entity, and the founders of both businesses continue with it
The Logic Is Geographic
InsuranceDekho built its strength across northern and western India. RenewBuy built its across the south. Neither had the other's footprint, and in a distribution business where the unit of growth is an agent in a town rather than an impression in a feed, that is the whole argument for putting them together.
The pin code figure is the one worth holding onto. Reach across 98.57 per cent of India's pin codes is not the same as selling in all of them, but it does describe the shape of the ambition, which is the parts of the country that insurance marketing has historically talked past.
What InsuranceDekho And RenewBuy Each Bring
InsuranceDekho's AI tools give partners real-time plan recommendations. RenewBuy's technology contributes automated partner onboarding and digital distribution. The platform will stay open and multi-insurer, covering motor, health, life and commercial lines.
Ankit Agrawal, founder and chief executive of InsuranceDekho, described the immediate focus as disciplined execution and integration rather than expansion. Balachander Sekhar, chief executive of RenewBuy, framed the union as pairing technology depth with an on-ground partner network. More from the brands desk.
